"Jai tuljabhavani maata" ancient temple in tujapur. Tuljabhavni श्री क्षेत्र तुळजा भवानी देवस्थान is a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Bhavani. It is located in Tuljapur in Osmanabad district of Maharashtra and is considered as one of the 51 Shakti Pithas. It is situated 45 km from Solapur.The temple was built in c. 12th century .

It’s a very interesting deity here that I have not seen elsewhere. The deity, goddess Bhavani is in a sleeping posture. She is covered in blankets too and is lying over a tall bed. So her face can only be seen partially by devotees. To enable us see the entire face, there are mirrors over to her sides and above through which we can see her face straight up. If I noted properly, her upper teeth are out to make her appear scary. But her side face that we can directly see, is very very pleasant. There is a lot of crowd on a holiday as Christmas but is well managed. With a hundred rupee paid darshan, we were able to complete the queue in less than half hour despite otherwise heavy crowd. The location itself is like any other religious place. All in all very good.

Are you interested in History ? Do you love Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ? Then you must visit this temple. Shivaji Maharaj was the devotee of this Goddess and blessed by Tuljabhavani. Very powerful aura everywhere one may experience , as soon as you enter the temple. Be careful while using the stairs. This is one of the " SHAKTIPITH " out of three and a half ! This Goddess Tuljabhavani is the " KULSWAMINI" for most of the Maharashtrians and Karnataka people. Devotees keep coming throughout the year , to take darshan , from all the parts of the country. During NVARATRI celebrations more number of people visit this temple. Car parking u0026 accommodation is easy to get. MTDC is the BEST option , can be booked online. For good Maharashtrian traditional food you may visit Hotel Samadhan / Hotel Nandanwan , which is 2/3 KM away on Solapur road. You will have to drive , down the hill.

The temple premise is clean. Management is trying hard to keep it clean. They have pass system. Without pass, you can't enter into temple.

Abhishek counters are open in morning 0400 to 0430 and in evening at 1900 to 2100 guys looking for it please make sure you reach exactly on time or bit earlier for early darshan. They only entertain 2200 passes for morning and 1000 passes for evening Abhishek. By meeting guruji a day before entire Pooja inventory can be arranged by guruji himself.

Temple is very Good and beautiful place. Please plan to reach Temple by max 6.30-7 am, after that it gets very busy specially when you are visiting on Tuesdays.

A Divine Sacred and Great Temple of Maa Bhavani. Very powerful temple. The temple is very well maintained. The Queue complex is nicely planned and constructed. The Devotees àre well guided/ conducted by the security staff. Nice stadium type seating arrangement for the devotees to sit for a while and watch the temple proceedings.

Devine Temple. You need to take darshan pass for taking the darshan( like Shirdi).It has been made mandatory by the temple trust to take the darshan pass. For normal queue darshan the pass is free of cost and for quick darshan the pass is of Rs.100 per person.The pass counter is to the left of the big main entrance of the temple.
